Minimum Selling Price is a common aspect of Yahoo Auctions.

You may notice that an expensive item is listed for a low price. For example, a high-end smartphone listed for $10. You check the item's page, and there is a Minimum Selling Price mark. It means that the seller has indicated a Minimum Selling Price for the item. However they do not reveal this price. They do it to attract bidders' attention to the auction.

You place a $10 bid, but the auction continues. It will continue this way unless the hidden Minimum Selling Price is reached. Once the Minimum Selling Price is achieved, the mark on the page will disappear, and the auction will proceed as usual.

However if the auction closes before the Minimum Selling Price is achieved, the item remains unsold. This means that the seller's desired price wasn't reached.

It can be considered a kind of lure used by Japanese sellers. We do not recommend placing a bid on such auctions.
