パールはマザーオブパール（Mother-of-Pearl)と呼ばれています。
パールカッティングソーでカットしてインレイ材としてご使用下さい。
付き板や指板に埋め込む場合はドレメルでインレイより多少浅い溝（1ｍｍ程度）を堀り、 フィラーカラーを混ぜて着色したエポキシボンド（透明の2液性、60分程度で硬化するものが使いやすいです） で貝と溝の隙間の充填を兼ねて接着します。

エポキシボンドの硬化後、あて木に巻いた＃150のペーパーでサンディングして フラットを出して下さい。複雑な模様のインレイ加工はかなり 高度なテクニックが必要ですが、ワンポイントのようなインレイでしたらコツさえ 掴めば決して難しい作業ではありません。
